T. R. Foster's first novel, ANGELS OF VENICE, is coming out this October.
Here's the synopsis:
ANGELS OF VENICE is a dark and intriguing story of murder and transformation that takes place in the small town of Venice, New York. At the center is the chief of police, Eliza Hamilton. She finds herself investigating a series of homicides that seemingly have no motive and almost no clues. Except for one. “Tommy Bob”—a vampire creature she made up as a child has suddenly entered the real world, as the name carved into the arm of each victim. At first, the murders appear meaningless, but they are not. There is purpose behind them and at the center are the Angels—creatures that look like everyone else but can manipulate our emotions and obsessions for amusement or kill with a single thought if it suits their purpose. For Eliza, and those close to her, the Angels will offer what is most desired. But the cost will be high, and points to an uncertain future for both Eliza and the town.
